Last week, UP and Jaguar announced a deal that would see the shortline holding company take over some of UP’s local operations in Kansas City. From the Railway Age article,
“Union Pacific (UP) on March 27 announced that it has entered into an agreement with Jaguar Transport Holdings LLC to provide short line rail service in the Central Industrial District in Kansas City, a move that the Class I says, ‘will enhance customer service and support regional economic growth.’
